Satellite Bay
Satellite Bay is the first studio album by the German post-rock band Long Distance Calling. It was published on 5 October 2007 on Viva Hate Records.
== Production ==
The seven songs on the album were written between early 2006 and early 2007.〔metalnews.de: (Interview mit Reimut von Long Distance Calling )〕 The recording of the album took place in April 2007 in Oldenburger ''Tonmeisterei''. The song "The Very Last Day" features Peter Dolving singer of the Swedish band The Haunted as music guest.
The idea to name the first song of the album "Jungfernflug" (Maiden Flight) came from the bassist Jan Hoffmann while at the studio during recording n the studio. "Fire in the Mountain" contains a quote from the parable ''Before the Law'' by Franz Kafka, "This door was intended only for you", in German "Diese Tür war nur für dich bestimmt" to express a person that is to jump over her own shadow.〔
